PROFINET RJ45 – M12 D-coded Adapter Cables for NaviTEK IE
The set contains two RJ45 male – M12 female, D-coded adapter cables, each 1 m long. It allows four-wire PROFINET cabling terminated with M12 D-coded connectors to be tested using the NaviTEK IE tester and the remote unit. One cable connects the tester to one end of the cabling under test, while the other connects the remote unit to the opposite end.
The PROFINET RJ45 – M12 D-coded adapter cable set is included in the standard package of the NaviTEK IE tester. It can also be ordered separately as a replacement accessory.

M12 D-coded connectors are used for two-pair Ethernet at speeds of 10/100 Mb/s, typically in PROFINET networks. The adapter cables are not intended for direct connection to a device that also has an M12 female socket.
For eight-wire cabling and Gigabit Ethernet with M12 X-coded connectors, corresponding X-coded adapter cables must be used. PROFINET RJ45 – M12 D-coded adapter cables are not mechanically compatible with M12 X-coded connectors.

The 3 Biggest Killers of the PROFINET Industrial Network
Our engineers perform diagnostics of industrial networks in hundreds of manufacturing companies. They travel across the country to find the causes of failures. We have asked them what problems they have most frequently diagnosed in customers' PROFINET networks recently. What have they told us?

Case Study: PROFINET at Magna Powertrain Under Control
Magna Powertrain lacked sufficient visibility and detail about PROFINET communication on production lines running 24/7. With ongoing digitalization and data collection from production, they no longer wanted to troubleshoot outages by “trial and error.” They wanted to quickly identify the root cause of issues or prevent them altogether, see the live topology, keep event logs, and monitor whether errors were accumulating anywhere.
