Standard networks

RJ45 PROFINET 100 Mbit/s

Connectors for standard industrial PROFINET networks. Select a straight 180° cable outlet or a 90° angled version according to the available space in the control cabinet.

Higher transmission speed

RJ45 for Gigabit Ethernet

Connectors for applications requiring higher transmission speeds. Also verify the category and construction of the industrial Ethernet cable used.

Machine installation

M12 Connectors with IP67 Protection

Robust versions for demanding industrial environments, vibration and installation outside the control cabinet. Male and female variants are available.

On-site assembly

FastConnect Connectors

FastConnect design simplifies preparation and termination of industrial Ethernet cables directly during network installation or repair.

We will verify the network speed, cable design, cable-outlet direction and installation environment and recommend a suitable connector.

How to select the correct PROFINET connector?

What should be checked before ordering?

The connector must match the transmission speed, cable construction, available space and installation environment. The cable-outlet direction and the male or female design of M12 connectors are also important.

  • RJ45 or M12
  • 100 Mbit/s or Gigabit network
  • 90° or 180° cable outlet
  • Male or female version
  • IP20 or IP67 protection
  • Compatibility with the cable used
  • Wire termination method
  • Single or multiple packaging

Practical Recommendations

180° outlet The cable continues straight behind the connector. Suitable where sufficient space is available behind the port.
90° outlet Useful in shallow control cabinets or where space in front of and behind the Ethernet port is limited.
M12 IP67 Suitable for direct machine installation, demanding environments or locations exposed to higher vibration.
Cable and connector as one system Network transmission properties depend on the cable, connector and installation quality. All parts must be mutually compatible.

From Practice: At De & Co, They Can Find a PROFINET Fault in Just a Few Minutes

De & Co Hranice s.r.o. supplies production lines and robotic workstations for various industrial sectors. As the company gradually moved from smaller machines to large automated lines, the complexity of its communication networks increased as well. This created a need to diagnose PROFINET and at the same time connect securely and remotely to equipment already operating at customer sites. What technologies help their technicians do that?
