We connect machines, data, systems and people into one functional whole
We design and deliver production and energy data collection, production and machine monitoring, MES applications, UNS architecture, OT/IT systems integration, visualisation, dashboards and BI reporting for entire manufacturing plants.
We help manufacturing companies obtain reliable data from machines, PLCs, sensors, energy systems, databases and enterprise systems. We unify the data, add the required context and build applications that support operators, maintenance teams, process engineers and management.
From machine data acquisition to plant-wide decision-making
A project can begin by connecting one machine, monitoring energy or creating a simple dashboard. However, we design the architecture so that the solution can gradually expand to additional lines, buildings, systems and manufacturing plants.
1. We collect data
We read data from PLCs, CNC machines, robots, drives, meters, sensors, energy analysers, databases and other production equipment.
2. We connect systems
We standardise communication using OPC UA, MQTT, SQL, REST and other interfaces, connecting the production environment with IT applications.
3. We build applications
On top of the data, we deliver MES, SCADA, monitoring, alarms, mobile applications, visualisations, reports and management dashboards.
A unified data architecture for the entire manufacturing plant
FIOT is FOXON's open ecosystem for collecting, sharing and using industrial data. It is based on the UNS – Unified Namespace concept, which creates a shared and standardised source of current data for production, maintenance, quality, energy management and enterprise applications.
Monitoring production, machines, energy and enterprise processes
Production, OEE and downtime
We monitor machine states, production, orders, performance, equipment utilisation, downtime duration and its actual causes.
Machine condition and maintenance
We monitor temperatures, vibrations, pressures, flows, operating hours, overloads and other variables important for maintenance.
Energy and utilities
We measure electricity, gas, water, heat, compressed air and on-site energy production, identifying losses and abnormal consumption.
MES, quality and traceability
We create applications for production management, operation reporting, quality control, recipes and traceability of products and materials.
OT, IT and ERP integration
We connect production equipment, SCADA, MES, databases, warehouses and ERP systems, including SAP and other enterprise applications.
Dashboards, BI and reporting
We create views for operators, maintenance, process engineers and management—from live production screens to plant-wide BI reporting.
An AI project does not start with an algorithm. It starts with quality data.
Artificial intelligence needs reliable history, the right context and sufficient high-quality data. That is why, when designing data collection, we address data structure, meaning, timing relationships, availability and long-term storage.
Where it delivers a genuine business or operational benefit, the prepared data can support advanced analytics, anomaly detection, machine learning, and predictive or prescriptive maintenance.
What needs to be ready before deploying AI
- reliable, long-term data collection,
- consistent names and data structures,
- context for machines, products, orders and events,
- history of faults, downtime and maintenance interventions,
- verified data quality and completeness,
- a clearly defined problem and expected benefit.
We do not force one software platform. We select technologies according to the project.
We work with open industrial standards, established software platforms and custom development. The final architecture is guided by your processes, existing systems, scalability, security and long-term management requirements.
Data collection and OT communication
Connecting PLCs, machines, sensors, databases and industrial equipment from different manufacturers.
Data and application platforms
UNS, data historisation, SCADA, MES, alarms and development of production applications.
Visualisation and analytics
Production screens, IIoT applications, management dashboards, mobile applications and BI reporting.
For plants that want to start with a small project or manage data across an entire manufacturing group
You need to get started
You have a specific problem, machine or line, but do not know how to obtain the data, where to store it or how to create a useful overview.
You need to connect systems
Data is spread across PLCs, SCADA, databases, Excel, MES and ERP, forcing employees to re-enter it manually or search for it in multiple systems.
You need to scale the solution
You want to unify data across lines, buildings or plants and create a long-term architecture for further digitalisation, BI and AI.
We understand machines, industrial networks, data and enterprise systems
Digitalising a manufacturing plant is not merely an IT project. It requires knowledge of automation, control systems, industrial communication, databases, software development and the real needs of people in production.
- we begin by understanding the problem and expected benefit,
- we collect data directly from production technologies and PLCs,
- we connect OT and IT without locking data into a single system,
- we design open and scalable solutions,
- we deliver the entire project from analysis to support,
- we plan for future growth and upcoming AI projects.
From the first problem to a data platform developed over the long term
Understand the problem
We discuss processes, users, existing systems, available data and expected benefits.
Design the concept
We prepare the architecture, data-collection method, first-phase scope and development options.
Connect technologies
We connect machines, PLCs, sensors, databases, ERP and other OT and IT systems.
Build applications
We deliver dashboards, monitoring, MES, SCADA, reports, alarms and mobile applications.
Continue developing the system
After a successful first phase, we connect additional machines, lines, processes and manufacturing plants.

More about manufacturing digitalisationWhat manufacturing companies consider before starting a project
Do we need to start with a large plant-wide project?
No. We often start with one specific problem, machine, line or area where the benefit can be verified quickly. However, we design the architecture so that the solution can be expanded later.
Can you also collect data from older machines?
In most cases, yes. We assess communication options for PLCs, CNC systems, drives and other devices. Where direct communication is not possible, external I/O, sensors, meters or a suitable communication gateway can be used.
Do we need to replace our existing SCADA, MES or ERP?
Not necessarily. Our goal is to connect existing systems effectively and use their data. We recommend replacement only when the current solution seriously restricts further development or is not sustainable in the long term.
What is Unified Namespace?
UNS is a unified data layer in which current values and events from machines, devices and information systems are available in a shared, understandable structure. Applications therefore do not need a separate connection to every data source.
Can the data be prepared for a future AI project?
Yes. When designing data collection, we can address structure, context, history, quality and storage so that the data can later be used for analytics, anomaly detection, machine learning or other AI applications.
Can FOXON take responsibility for the entire project?
Yes. We provide analysis, architecture design, data collection, system integration, application development, databases, visualisation, testing, commissioning, documentation, training, ongoing support and further development.
Tell us what you need to monitor or connect in production today
You do not need a completed technical specification or to know exactly which software should be used. Describe the problem, available systems and expected result. We will propose a meaningful first project phase and an architecture prepared for future growth.
