The relay compares the measured current with the set limits and signals the operating state to the downstream control system. The specific functions, number of monitored phases and communication options depend on the exact order number.

Relay selection and replacement

When selecting a relay, compare the current range, supply voltage, contactor size, wiring and required fault evaluation. When replacing a relay, also record and check the limit settings and time delays.
