Standard cable for fixed routing in cable trays, control cabinets and machine structures. It is not intended for regular movement after installation.

Occasional movement and vibration

Flexible Type B Cable

Flexible design for applications with occasional movement, vibration or flexible device connections. It is not automatically suitable for permanently moving drag chains.

Patch Cables with RJ45 Connectors

Ready-made flexible cables fitted with RJ45 connectors. Suitable for fast device connections without installing connectors directly on site.

What is the difference between PROFINET cable types A, B and C?

Select the Cable According to Mechanical Stress

Type A – fixed installation For cable trays, control cabinets and fixed routing without movement after installation.
Type B – flexible installation For occasional movement, flexible connections and environments with vibration.
Type C – continuous dynamic movement Special design for drag chains, repeated movement, bending or torsional stress. The specific cable must be selected according to the manufacturer's parameters and the application.

  • Fixed or moving installation
  • Bending frequency and bend radius
  • Vibration and mechanical stress
  • Required cable length
  • Type of connectors used
  • Category and number of conductor pairs
  • Resistance to oil and chemicals
  • Installation temperature and environment
Important: The term “flexible” does not automatically mean that the cable is suitable for millions of cycles in a drag chain. For continuous movement, always verify the minimum bend radius, number of cycles and other manufacturer specifications.
