Recommended learning paths by job role

PLC programmers and automation specialists: S7-1200 or S7-1500 PLC fundamentals, advanced programming in TIA Portal, PROFINET diagnostics and subsequently machine-data collection using OPC UA and MQTT.

Service and maintenance technicians: PLC fundamentals, PROFINET and PROFIBUS diagnostics, diagnostic instruments, variable frequency drives and pneumatic systems.

OT, IT and data specialists: collection and integration of data from PLCs and machines, Kepware KEPServerEX, OPC Router, OPC UA, MQTT, BI reporting and the use of AI for manufacturing-data analysis.

Siemens SIMATIC S7 PLC training

We provide introductory and follow-up training in Siemens PLC programming. Participants learn how to work with hardware, create and modify PLC programs, use diagnostic tools and safely perform common service tasks.

Training can cover SIMATIC S7-300 with STEP 7, SIMATIC S7-1200, SIMATIC S7-1500 and advanced programming of S7-1200 and S7-1500 controllers in TIA Portal. Contact us to discuss the required PLC platform, participants’ experience and preferred language.

PROFINET and PROFIBUS network diagnostics

Our industrial-network courses are based on experience gained from thousands of measurements and diagnostic assignments in manufacturing plants. Participants learn the principles of communication, correct network topology and cabling, how to evaluate diagnostic data and how to identify the causes of intermittent and permanent faults.

Our offer includes hands-on PROFINET training, PROFIBUS training and a course focused on working with the ProfiTrace2 tester.

Machine data, OPC UA, MQTT, BI and AI

Technicians learn how to acquire data from PLCs, robots and other manufacturing equipment, standardize communication and transfer data to databases, information systems, cloud services or reporting tools.

The machine-data collection and integration course covers OPC UA, MQTT, Kepware KEPServerEX and OPC Router. We can also prepare training in BI reporting and practical applications of artificial intelligence for manufacturing and business-data analysis.

Hands-on teaching based on real manufacturing experience

Our instructors are not only trainers. They also work on PLC programming, industrial-network diagnostics, machine-data integration and digitalization projects directly in manufacturing companies. They therefore bring real faults, specific examples and proven industrial procedures into the classroom.

Courses are held in small groups with no more than eight participants. Depending on the subject, participants work with real PLCs, diagnostic instruments, drives, pneumatic components or industrial software tools.

Training center in Liberec or training at your facility

FOXON Academy operates three fully equipped classrooms in Liberec, Czech Republic. Courses include training materials, refreshments and a certificate of completion. Parking is available directly at the FOXON premises.

By arrangement, training can also be delivered directly at your company. This option is particularly suitable for larger teams or when the course should be adapted more closely to the technologies used at your plant.
