Receiving data from MQTT Broker (Subscribe)
The plug-in can subscribe to data topics published by MQTT devices such as sensors, controllers or IoT gateways. This data is then available in the OPC Server and can be made available to other systems (e.g. SCADA, MES or analytics platforms).

Data transformation
The module can convert data from MQTT messages into an OPC-compatible format, ensuring seamless integration between traditional industry protocols and modern IoT standards.

Support for a wide range of MQTT brokers
The module is compatible with various MQTT brokers (e.g. Mosquitto, HiveMQ, Amazon AWS IoT Core, Microsoft Azure IoT Hub).

MQTT Client is a plug-in module of the Kepware KEPServerEX OPC Server that connects the MQTT broker to the OPC Server as a new data source. The acquired data is then provided by KEPServerEX to parent systems via OPC UA/DA, MQTT, REST or archived to ODBC databases. For further work with the data from the OPC Server, archiving or connecting it to IT/OT systems, we recommend using the OPC Router program.

The MQTT Client driver is a user-friendly out-of-the-box MQTT to OPC UA translator. It securely accesses otherwise siloed data and transmits it to Kepware. Users can then integrate this data with data collected from traditional industrial automation assets—such as PLCs, sensors, and databases—to create a single source of consolidated plant floor data.
