The rugged, metal enclosure ensures high durability and resistance to electromagnetic interference. The connector supports fast, easy cable installation via the FastConnect piercing system. You just strip the outer sheath of the cable and insert the four wires into the plastic tabs/interlock in the connector. When pressed down, the tabs/interlock will pierce the wires' sheaths and hold the wires in place. To connect the shield, you need to strip the cable's sheath – sufficiently and properly. By closing the connector, you connect the cable's shield, and the connector is ready to be plugged in. The connector can be used for any 100Mbit Ethernet networks.
