The firewall works on the principle of a fixed rule, where it only allows communication from the Ethernet port IN to the Ethernet port OUT. Communication back from the OUT port to the IN port is not possible. The device itself has no configuration options and operates as a plug-and-play device. Power is available via PoE on the IN port or via the 24-48VDC power terminals.
The firewall is suitable for applications with high security requirements, where it is desirable to send data only in one direction and where it is technically possible that there is no return acknowledgement of receipt of the message, etc.
Due to the clearly defined scope of features, the firmware of this Firewall appliance does not require any traditional operating system and is free of open source and third-party components.
