Usage

You can use it to collect, process and transfer data between network devices and applications. Node-RED flows are built in a browser; the resulting behaviour is determined by the configuration, the nodes used and the connected systems.

Interfaces and local applications

Two network interfaces connect devices accessible via Ethernet to local automation tasks.
The platform comprises Node-RED, the MariaDB database and the Mosquitto MQTT broker. Data can be stored in files, MariaDB or SQLite.
The built-in memory comprises 4 GB eMMC and 1 GB DDR3 RAM. Not all of the storage capacity is available to applications; part of it is used by the system and installed software.
Back-up capacitors enable a controlled shutdown when the power supply is disconnected. This function does not replace a UPS for business continuity.
The pre-installed software versions listed in the technical table are W&T’s specifications for this model. When working with existing equipment, check the specific firmware version and the availability of the required nodes.

Commissioning and accessories

Connect the network and power supply, use WuTility to configure the network parameters, and open the web management interface. Set up a Node-RED flow for specific data sources, test the behaviour in the event of a connection failure, and ensure that your configuration is backed up.

No. It is used for controlled shutdown. An appropriate backup power supply is required for uninterrupted operation.
