Older machines very often used 3.5" floppy disk drives to store data or configure a standalone machine. There were a large number of floppy disks and over time they could become unreadable. You can solve this problem by using a floppy emulator to replace the original floppy drive, piece for piece. The connectors and physical design are identical. Data is then written to a prepared USB drive. One USB drive can hold 100 floppy disks, which you switch between using the buttons.
