Usage

It is used for the time-scheduled switching of lighting, gates, cabinets and other suitably connected loads. Calendar events are linked to specific switching actions and supplemented by manual monitoring via the network.

Calendar and switching functions

The calendar format is iCal with the .ics extension. Before deployment, check the availability of the calendar source, event assignments and time settings.
The channels operate at 24 V and the outputs have a switching current of up to 500 mA. A suitable isolator is required for other voltages or higher loads.
Web management supports HTTP/HTTPS. Email messages, HTTP requests and FTP are available for logging switching events; up to 30 actions can be configured.
The internal clock supports synchronisation with a time server and is battery-backed. When selecting communication services, this model is not automatically assessed in the same way as standard Web-IO 4.0 units.

Commissioning and accessories

Connect the network and a 12–24 V DC power supply. Set the time, synchronisation, calendar source and links to the outputs. Before connecting the actual load, test the schedule, event changes and manual control.

How many separate channels does the device have?

Four physical channels that can be used as either inputs or outputs. These are not four inputs in addition to four outputs.

What calendar format is used?

iCal (.ics). Check how a specific calendar is made available when designing the connection.

Can I connect directly to a 230 V mains supply?

The digital outputs are designed for 24 V systems. A suitable relay or other isolating device is required to switch other voltage levels.
