The DATAEAGLE 473x for plug&play wireless connection to the PROFINET industrial network using Bluetooth 5.0 technology runs at 2.4GHz. The unit supports multiple protocols and you only purchase the one you need (see Product Variants tab). You can connect the device to the PROFINET network virtually without configuration, as a plug&play solution. Range up to 100m indoors, up to 300m outdoors (depending on the antennas used).



The DATAEAGLE 473x is offered in Point-to-Point or Multipoint variants and can be used for protocols: 

  • Ethernet,
  • PROFINET,
  • PROFIsafe,
  • EtherNet/IP
  • and OpenSAFETY via UDP.


Depending on the protocol used and the number of stations you want to connect wirelessly, we can help you select the ideal variant with support for the respective protocols. For more information on the available variants, please see the Product Variants section.

The use of modern Bluetooth 5 wireless technology in the DATAEAGLE 473x enables the highest requirements in terms of speed and latency. This makes the DATAEAGLE 473x is particularly suitable for high-performance and safety applications.

Product variants

To establish a wireless connection, at least 1x DATAEAGLE 473x transmitter (Master) and 1x DATAEAGLE 473x receiver (Slave) are required. The maximum number of DATAEAGGLE receivers and the maximum number of PB Slave devices used depends on the product variant purchased.  Many variants are available for the DATAEAGLE 473x. Please contact our technical support before ordering and we will be happy to help you select the correct units and antennas.

Antenna not included. One antenna is required for each unit.
